Where It All Started

Looking back at these, our very first packaging, a necklace from 2016, and the view from the studio where it all started, reminds me why I began this journey.
A decade spent refining the staples you wear every day has taught me that our minimalist roots were always about longevity. It's about creating a reliable foundation for all the versions of yourself you've become since we started in 2013.
This story took shape with an understated, engraved 14k gold disc from 2016—a piece designed for daily wear that set the standard for everything I create today. This commitment to enduring quality unfolded at my modest workbench in New York's East Village. Influenced by a vibrant community of local artisans, the neighborhood’s dedication to raw craft became inseparable from my own process. From that first twine-bound kraft envelope to every piece made today, LITTIONARY remains a product of that intentional place and philosophy.
I've always been more comfortable at the bench than in the spotlight.
But I'm opening the studio doors a little wider now.
Through our Journal, I want to share more of the journey with you—the archives, the early sketches, the raw materials, and the pieces that never made it out of the studio. You'll see the neighborhood that shaped us, the hands that finish each piece, and the quiet, daily life that happens around the jewelry.
Thank you for being a part of this story—for the notes, the orders, and the photographs of your pieces one, five, or ten years later. When a piece becomes such a natural part of your daily life that you forget you’re even wearing it, that is the real reward.
