Our Engraving Process

What engraving method do you use?

We use a specialized technique called precision stylus engraving rather than standard industrial lasers. Instead of using intense heat to burn the gold, our process uses a computer-controlled, genuine diamond tip that rapidly applies meticulous pressure to the surface of the metal. This physical micro-impression method shifts the metal cleanly, creating a delicate, shimmering satin texture that reflects light naturally.

How does your process compare to laser engraving?

The main differences come down to longevity, appearance, and material integrity:

Permanence vs. Surface Wear

Laser engraving often creates a shallow, flat mark on the very surface of the metal. Over time, daily wear can smooth down these flat markings, causing them to lose contrast and seemingly fade away. Because our diamond stylus creates deep physical impressions, the artwork is permanently struck into the metal and cannot wear away.

Appearance

Laser engraving works by burning the metal, leaving a dark, charred mark. Our diamond-stylus process creates thousands of microscopic facets in the gold or silver. Much like a finely cut gemstone or a mirrored groove, these facets catch and bounce the light, creating an organic, shimmering finish that looks fully integrated into fine jewelry.

Material Integrity

Unlike traditional engraving methods that scrape away microscopic curls of gold, or lasers that vaporize metal into smoke, our process removes absolutely zero material. Your jewelry retains its exact weight, while allowing us to maintain a pristine, fume-free studio environment.

Can you engrave handwritten notes or custom drawings?

Yes. Our specialized system allows us to translate the exact lines of your original handwriting, signature, or drawing from a photograph. Because the diamond stylus can instantly vary its micro-impression force, it doesn't just trace basic outlines—it captures the high-density gradients of ink on paper, beautifully replicating the exact weight, pressure, and soul of the original pen stroke.

Will my engraving wear off over time?

No. Because our diamond stylus physically indents the metal, the impression is permanent and designed for the rigors of daily wear. Like any precious metal, it will pick up tiny daily micro-scratches over the years. This naturally softens the metal's texture and beautifully blends with the shimmering finish of the engraving, ensuring your memory remains legible for a lifetime.

Can you engrave in different languages?

We are proud to engrave names, dates, and messages in any language, including unique characters, non-Latin alphabets, and special scripts.

Do you offer translation services?

No. To ensure perfect accuracy, we will engrave the exact text, file, or lettering you provide. We do not offer translation or correction services for non-English text. Please double-check your spelling, phrasing, and character orientation before submitting your order.
